Currently, for additional customer authentication using MIR cards, a new, more reliable version of protocol 2 is used.

For a more reliable authentication process, issuing banks and payment systems are switching to a new version (2 and higher) of protocol for all types of cards (VISA, Mastercard, MIR).

For VISA and Mastercard cards issued by Russian banks, authentication is carried out using protocol version 1.

Information about the used protocol version can be obtained as a result of the operation by order number or from the sended authorization results to the merchant server.
